Recorded Completely Live
Alpine Fest in Lake Zurich
This festival has been well-attended by families, fun-seekers, music lovers and rockers for years. The Lion's Club of Lake Zurich welcomed the band to the stage on this beautifully warm August evening and the brothers of Friction did not disappoint!
Friction is always fun to watch, but on this particular night, they were in the ozone. Everyone was dancing to a Frictionized version of Earth, Wind & Fire's "Shining Star". A skillful, engery-packed performance of an Eagles classic, which can't be named, had the crowd singing along. Later the band helped the audience create a rare, emotional moment with Tesla's "Love Song", a powerful and timeless ballad.
Please take a few minutes to listen to these totally live recordings of Friction's headline performance for more than 2000 people at one of their favorite festivals to play. Many of the audio files available here were put together into live performance videos, which are ready to watch on this page.

A Friction Original
Beautiful Girls in Chicago
Friction's first original song! Lyrics written by Bill Covert, the song is meant to be a tribute to the women of our home town. Bill's lyrics are a series of iterations describing how women from other cities just don't stack up to the beautiful girls in Chicago. Friction fans love to sing along to the memorable chorus melody, while soaking in the intricate guitar subleties that make the song easy to listen to again and again.
Friction's first single has enjoyed air play by local FM station, 103.9 The Fox on and off since it's release and still gets heard on line by many interested fans, friends and music lovers. Give it a look . . . and a listen!
